With dead ends, side trips and detours having an emergency kit is prudent planning when you are traveling. But dealing with urgent situations requires more than flashlights, bandages, and bottled water. We need to be mentally and spiritually calm so we can maintain our composure in emergencies and to be able to aid others. We need a spiritual preparedness kit that reminds us that God is in control and we can rest and trust in Him. With God as our navigator, His Word our roadmap I invite you to prepare your "Calm Kit" and travel down Route 37 with me.
"What’s in Your Calm Kit?"
Route 37/Psalm 37
Vs. 3 “Trust in the Lord... feed on His faithfulness”
Vs. 4 “Delight yourself also in the Lord.”
Vs. 5 “Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him.”
Vs. 7 “Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; do not fret…”
Vs. 8 “Cease from anger.”
Vs. 23 “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord.
And He delights in his way.”
Vs. 39-40 “…He is their strength in the time of trouble…
because they trust in Him.”
I am always anticipating what God is showing you. This was a timely post for me. Thank you SO much for the "Calm Kit". I marked it in my Bible and will refer to it often. I am in the waiting room watching God work in His timing and perfect way. Thank you again for listening to His leading. You have refreshed my soul! Love you sweet friend!
