Mixing Bowl: Recipes!

Kuhnle Family Peach Cobbler

“Whew, it took me awhile to find the recipe, it was stuck to the back of another recipe card! You can tell it was well used. So many old hand written recipes from family and friends, brings back a lot of memories!"

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Pre-spray an 8” x 8” pan with cooking spray.

Preparing your peaches: Wash and halve 4-5 fresh peaches. With a spoon remove pits then slice ¼” thick. I used to remove the skins for my peach desserts but then one year I didn’t and I’ve never looked back! Place in the bottom of your 8” x 8” pan.

Topping:

1 cup sugar

1 cup flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

Dash of salt

One egg

½ cup butter

Stir together sugar, flour, baking powder and salt. Break in one egg and mix together. Spread over your fresh sliced peaches. Pour ½ cup melted butter on top.

Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.

I usually double it and put it in a 9” x 13” pan.
