It’s been one year since you first strolled down the lovely and peaceful path to my website “home.” Guided by principles of faith and purpose, we have been inspired to grow our walks with the Lord, build our homes, and invest in family and friends together.
For some, this past year has been one where foundations have been tested, while others have been sifted as the Lord has made us useful for His purposes, and through it all He has remained faithful as we knew He would. You’ve let me know that you’ve loved dropping by and have enjoyed “eating at my table,” and I thank you for that!
I'm introducing a new topic under “A Home to Keep” called “Consider It Done.” This is where you'll find tips I think you’ll enjoy to make your life easier as well as some yummy recipes to share and cake decorating fun.
And I am working on my new “Homemaking Academy." This will feature one skill or craft each month to enjoy doing and learning together! Our first skill for August will be Simplified Cake Decorating. I will show you how simple this little “Girlfriend Cake” is to make!
Other skills in the months to come will be -
Money Saving by Making Ahead
One Table, Two Looks – Tablescaping for Thanksgiving and Christmas
Organizing Your Home
Laundry tips and Clothing Care
Embroidery Hoop Crafts and fun bookmarks to make!
Daily and Seasonal Housekeeping tips and more.
And after a year of learning and sharing, you will “graduate” from the Homemaking Academy and earn your Heart & Keeper Home Skills Merit Badge!
But wait - there is celebrating to be shared with you first!
Anyone who leaves a comment in the month of July will be entered in my
Bits of Bliss Grand Prize Giveaway!
The theme of my Giveaway is “Stay Awhile." At the end of July I will announce a winner, but the first 15 to comment will get a great little package filled with goodies that will be mailed right out, one that I've put together and it can’t wait to arrive on your doorstep! I will give you a sneak peek of one of the things in the package: it will be a Heart & Keeper Wristband! It is inscribed with "Live purposefully, worthily, and accurately..." Ephesians 5:15-16.
This is my encouragement to you:
”Look carefully then how you walk! Live purposefully and worthily and accurately, not as the unwise but as wise (sensible, intelligent people), making the very most of the time..."
- Ephesians 5:15-16, AMPC
I invite you to return time and time again and settle in as we continue to care for our homes and hearts, and I pray you’ll be refreshed and nourished.
Hugs from Home,
