Mini Pocket Journal
Mini Pocket Journal

THIS MINI POCKET JOURNAL is the perfect gift or favor for any special occasion, from weddings and showers to family picnics and retreats. It can also be used for an invitation. I always try to find a place to write encouraging scriptures and to include a devotional. Taking every opportunity to pour into others, you could personalize this gift by including the meaning of their name. Use a book with name origin, inherent meanings and the spiritual significance. You could also include pictures.

Some suggestions to put in your "pockets"

  • Devotions

  • Bible verses

  • Quotes

  • Pictures

  • Song lyrics

  • Recipes

  • Postcards

  • Coasters

  • flat chocolates

  • Teabags, honey sticks

  • Individual packaged coffees

I have made these with my grand darlings as they wanted to make them for their cousins birthdays. (I prepared the envelopes ahead of time to make it easier). We slipped in fun balloons, cute personalized bandaids, stickers and more.

Here are some other ideas to put in your pockets:

  • Bookmarks

  • Seed packets

  • Flat friendship bracelets

  • Coloring pages

  • Chewing gum

  • Flat lolloipops

  • Cocoa packets

  • Our granddaughter even made a puzzle out of popsicle sticks to send!

Directions:

               1. Envelopes 2. Coordinating Scrapbook pages 3. gluing flaps to crease only

  1. Your two matching envelopes, any size will do.

  2. Cut two pieces of coordinating scrapbook papers the same size as your envelopes. They will serve to build a "bridge" between your two envelope flaps.

  3. Apply glue on the flaps of each envelope to crease only. (see picture 3). Lay one of your pieces of scrapbook papers over the glued flaps, lining it up to the crease on your envelope.

  1. This shows your scrapbook paper glued down to the inside center with open "pockets" on each side. Repeat this on the back.

  2. You are now ready to embellish your packet.
