"We are not to pray only when the answer seems obvious.

We are to pray when the answer seems impossible."

Wake Up. Pray Up. Armor Up.

KEEPING OUR battle gear in top form:

VERSE. Pick a verse for the year, here's mine: Psalm 19: 14 “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.”

PRAYER. 5 Minutes with Jack Hibbs. Daily Prayer – A Global Prayer Meeting on facebook. He is live on Facebook at 5 am for about 5 minutes ...YOU ARE INVITED! What started January 1, 2025 will continue each day throughout the entire year, at 5am #LIFTDailyPrayer Gathering for 5 minutes with Pastor Jack Hibbs every day!   These will be rooted in Scripture and prayers for mercy, grace, healing, peace, guidance, and strength. You can access the prayer anytime after 5:00. I am enjoying this so much.

"How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!"

Psalm 119:103

BIBLE. Reading through the Bible.  My favorite way to read through the Bible is with The Bible Recap with Tara Leigh Cobble.  It offers short daily recaps of God's Word—explaining the challenging parts and connecting the dots to help you develop a deep friendship with God. “Don’t look for yourself in scripture - look for God.”

CONNECTING. Connecting with a Devotional.  A friend of mine, Lynn, suggested a great way to connect this year.  Set up a link with some friends or family sharing the same devotion.  It’s a great way to stay connected.

I’ve picked Streams in The Desert Daily Devotional by L.B. Cowman.   This is the text I sent out to my group, “Hi, welcome to our group.  I’m excited to be reading Streams in The Desert together.  It is a timeless treasure that I have read year after year, picking up new nuggets constantly.  No stress, no checking in, just a word of encouragement for each other.  If you are ministered to by a verse, sentence or quote please share on this group text.  I pray this will be a source of encouragement and a wonderful blessing to each one of you.”

Streams is available in printed form and many free resources, you can have it sent to your phone or emailed to you.  You can also access it on Facebook too.
