Handmade Heart Valentine

Supplies:
Blank white Notecards
Scrapbook paper
Scissors
Glue
Textured paper
Pencil
Heart stencil or cookie cutter
Pink thread
Sewing machine and scissors
Button
Glitter paint and paint brush
No Sewing method: hand draw sewn hearts.
Instructions:

I found it easiest to write my Valentine sentiment on one side of the card before decorating it. Cut your scrapbook material to fit ¼ in from your note card. Glue to front of card.
Cut your textured paper ¼” in from your scrapbook paper. Using the photo as your guide hand draw (or using a stencil or cookie cutter) trace a heart onto the center. Thread your sewing machine with your pink thread and sew on your pencil line. When finished continue to sew a second heart a little off of the first one. If any pencil lines are showing gently erase.
Glue your textured heart over your scrapbook paper.
Glue a button in the center of the heart. Apply glitter paint around the outside perimeter of the card and places you want to highlight on your textured heart. Tie a ribbon on.
Packaging Inspiration
Supplies:
Low Temp Glue gun (I found mine at my craft store by the scrap-booking supplies, I have also seen them in the craft wedding department.)
Sealing Wax
Wax Seals
Instructions:
Once your Valentine’s are in your envelopes and they are sealed you are ready to embellish your envelope.
Plug in the glue gun, insert your sealing wax, let warm up. You may want to practice on scrape paper first.
On the back of the sealed envelope slowly squeeze out enough wax to make the size of a quarter the quickly before it hardens press your wax seal into the softened wax. Let it harden and gently pull up your seal. I find it easiest to gently pull up from one side. A treasure for a friend to be sure!!
