An Undivided Heart

Thank you for joining me at the “Gathering Place." You are invited to drop in whenever you like. As I thought about what a home might be to each one of us whether you’re single, a student, a wife, a mother or a missionary, an empty nester, a caretaker, divorced or widowed we will all have a home to care for, find comfort in and enjoy.

What is the foundation of a peaceful and comforting home? How do we create a home of order and simplicity? How do we protect our homes so they will be free of distractions and places of healing and restoration? This kind of home starts with a woman with an Undivided Heart. We learn in Matthew 6:24 that, “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other.”

Remember that the condition of your heart is more important than how your home looks or how organized it is. If your heart is not right with the Lord than nothing you do to clean and care for it will bring about a comforting or peaceful home. A woman whose heart is surrendered to and intentional on building her foundation on a relationship with the Lord and His instruction manual – the Bible, that kind of woman will have a peaceful home to gather and grow in. If you want your home to be a sanctuary, a place that reflects Him you must put Him first.

Welcome Home!
